The Labour Party has slipped up in announcing its candidates for the May local elections by admitting they cannot win in a number of key wards in the city.

Their statement says: 'Key battleground seats are likely to include Regency, Goldsmid, Hanover & Elm Grove, Hangleton & Knoll and East Brighton.' Admitting publicly for the first time that all these seats with sitting Labour Councillors are vulnerable in May's City Elections.

Worse still they ignore many seats where previously they were seen as the challengers, leaving the Lib Dems challenging the sitting Councillors.

Labour are ignoring the key battlegrounds such as Wish and Westbourne and also Central Hove where the Lib Dems will mount a fierce campaign.
