Labour and Tory Councillors have railroaded through the Central Brighton Parking Review, even though hundreds of residents objected to the changes. The decision could lead to serious parking problems especially with the loss of the current zone boundaries.

The decision comes after Conservative Councillors supported the review, even though only two months ago they questioned the changes and their local representatives in Regency ward said they were 'appalled' at the proposals.

Labour's last remaining councillor for Regency who claimed he 'shared the concerns' over the review also failed to stop his party pushing through the flawed scheme.

At the meeting, Liberal Democrats questioned how your comments and objections from the consultation were being dealt with. When challenged Labour Councillors were not even able to produce a list of objections for the committee to properly consider. So much for consultation and listening to your views.

Cllr Dawn Davidson, Kevin Donnelly and Sue Bucknall promise to keep fighting to make your voice heard to get the parking solutions you want to see.
