Liberal Democrats have argued that the City's Parking Enforcement Contract should have been taken in-house, to increase flexibility and transparency of the much criticised service.

Speaking at tonight's Policy & Resources Meeting, Liberal Democrat Cllr Paul Elgood said:

'The Council has missed an opportunity to bring the contract in-house, which is a great shame. The success of bringing in the waste contract has been clear, and we believe residents and visitors would be better served by a more flexible and transparent enforcement process.'
