Late night local pub applications a 'nightmare' for residents

12.53.59pm BST (GMT +0100) Tue 16th Aug 2005

Brunswick & Adelaide Councillor Paul Elgood has warned that a series of late licenses for local back street pubs is creating a 'nightmare' for neighbouring residents.

Five pubs in the Waterloo Street area have put in for late licenses and Paul is backing their campaign against them.

He said: 'This is a nightmare for local residents, who face a number of pubs having very late licenses. Residents are extremely concerned and licensees have to ask themselves are such late licenses really necessary?'
