Is he or isn't he? Thats the question Liberal Democrats are asking over John Prescott's strange decision not to end years of speculation and finally rule on the Falmer Stadium application.

Lib Dem City Council Group Leader Councillor Paul Elgood said: 'The outcome remains unclear. Prescott is saying all things to all people, but his job was to rule, one way or another on the Stadium. He should have made a clear decision to enable the Club to move forward, how much more time does he need?.

'I personally hope he backs Falmer, its the only realistic option available. I've supported Falmer all along and still think its the best bet.'
