Brunswick & Adelaide's Liberal Democrat Ward Councillors, Paul Elgood and David Watkins have welcomed promised action by the Police and Seafront Officers to stop organised football matches on Hove's historic seafront Lawns.

Paul Elgood said: 'After five years of pressure, this comes as a relief. No-one minds small kick abouts, but these are large organised leagues acting as a menace to other users of the lawns.'
