Labour's Plans for the City - Bankrupt of Ideas

9.09.00am GMT Thu 20th Mar 2003

Reacting to Labour's City Council Manifesto, Liberal Democrat Group Leader Cllr Paul Elgood said:

"Once again they concentrate on glossy publications rather than the delivery of quality local services. They are wholly bankrupt of new thinking and it's time their grasp on the city came to an end."

Cllr Jenny Barnard-Langston added:

"Where is the vision in the document? They take credit for the work of others and make rash promises in a desperate bid to get re-elected. The public will not fall for Labour's latest trick to try to stay in power."
